Power of The Prince

Power of the Raynian Prince

Finally, Prince Laraniss, the rightful Arie to the Raynian Throne, had been fully revived, now more powerful than ever. He stood before an army of Thorum's Undead, an army that once would have been Raynian had Ryoone not stormed the palace and trapped Laraniss away for the past 16 years. The undead Raynians stood in wait, as Laraniss looked at them, they awaited his move. The truth was, not even Prince Laraniss was truly ready to eradicate his people, by his own hand. He was frozen, he had awaited this moment for so long, and yet he still wasn't ready.

"Laraniss, can you really take them all on by yourself?" asked Roux. Laraniss paused for a moment, he then smiled.

"Its not a matter of ability...the truth is, I don't want to do this, I've had countless battles, never have I once hesitated, but if I take them down...I guess I always knew this is what it would come to, but it doesn't make it easier. I see many faces that I knew once." Laraniss replied.

"I can't begin to imagine the pain you feel right now, but those are not your people anymore...Thorum took that away from them...he took that away from you. You will be setting them free, Sly died so that you could free them, now is the time for you to show us your legendary Raynian power!" Roux said with emphasis.

"Your right...I will free all of your souls today!" As Laraniss spoke these words, he closed his eyes, and a burst of energy began to flow from him. "I have copied hundreds of abilities...that is the secret to the legendary power that you spoke of Roux...today I will use them all!!" Prince Laraniss opened his eyes to reveal that his eyes had changed from the Elite red to a bright green, as well as his aura. He slowly began to walk towards the army of Undead, gradually speeding up his steps until he began sprinting towards them. As he ran small bolts of lightning began to form around him as if his speed was creating electricity.

The Undead immediately began to charge against the Prince as he did them, the two sides gradually closing in upon one and another. One of the larger beasts made it's way to the front of the pack, carrying a large mallet, as the two came closer and closer, the beast wound back his giant hammer and swung down at Laraniss. At the moment of contact, a bolt of lightning flashed and the Hammer slammed into the ground. The hulking beast lifted his mallet to see that the Prince was gone, he turned to find the Prince in battle against the Undead.

Roux watched as Laraniss was in battle with the army of the Undead Raynians. He was amazed to see that the Prince apparently hadn't lost a step in the art of battle. Laraniss was countering every attack, and with every landed attack a bolt of lightning would flash, and Laraniss would vanish and quickly he could be found in battle at another end of the field. It seemed as if the lightning had given him the power to teleport, but upon further examination it was actually making him move at the speed of light, giving the illusion of teleportation. Laraniss cut through the battlefield, decapitating and crushing Undead in his wake, making it seem easy as he was quickly slimming the numbers in the army. Finally the Undead swarmed him and a large group pounced on him, creating a giant pile of Undead.

Roux was about to lend a hand when suddenly, a large red light flashed from the bottom of the pile, and the pile of Undead was blown away, at the center of the explosion stood five Laraniss's, each holding a ball of energy in their hand and facing a different direction of the field. They each threw their ball, and the battlefield erupted into explosions, taking out hundreds of the monsters. The four copies of the Prince slowly began to fuse back into the original, and he took a breath, his green eyes shining as he looked on. He withdrew the Dragon Blade and placed it into his left, dominant hand, and the Life Blade materialized into his right hand, and he leaped back into battle once more, and there was another flash of lightning. As he fought his way forward with the Dragon Blade, the Life Blade began to move on its own, rotating around him like an automatic shield, as he attacked, it defended.

As a large group of Undead began to engage the Prince, he spun around and rose the Dragon Blade into the air. "Black Flames of the Elder dragon!" The Prince yelled, and swung his sword at the group of Undead, and the entire group lit into flame, with dark black flames. The beasts began writhing in pain and running into others and lighting them in flame as well, as quickly as the flames were lit, the entire left side of the battlefield was engulfed as well. Laraniss watched as the inferno began to grow, and with it the undead began to fall. He glanced up and noticed a figure sitting on a floating rock, just as Thorum had done earlier. This person was wearing an entire suit of armor, obviously not an Undead. The person raised his arms and a large body of water began to form above him, and he dropped the water on top of the flames, completely extinguishing them. Laraniss immediately attacked and with another flash of electricity he was right there next to him. He swung his sword at this new person, and he blocked him with his armor clad arm, as the two forces collided energy began to swirl around the battlefield, and their eyes met. Laraniss knew immediately that this was a force to be reckoned with, his energy was similar to Thorum and Ryoone's. Laraniss quickly retreated with another flash of electricity. In a flash of electricity Laraniss was standing next to Roux.

"Jesus, and I thought Sly was fast, you make him seem like a turtle." Roux said with a chuckle.
"You like that one do you? I picked up this ability when I was 15, it has several different components to it, but the speed it gives me is unmatched." Replied Laraniss. The two looked onto the battlefield. They watched as the defeated Undead begun to stand again, even the ones who had been decapitated; they simply picked up their head's, and placed them back onto their shoulders.

"No wonder why Thorum's army is so greatly feared, they just keep getting back up. So whats the plan here? The one on the floating rock is different from the Undead, isn't he?" Asked Roux.

"Yeah, he blocked the Dragon Blade with his armor, my only assumption is that it's some kind of demon armor, seeing how it was able to block a sword forged by gods. I think he has some connection to Thorum and Ryoone, other than being a part of his army, I think I should focus on him, and the two in the back sitting on the ridge, I think they are why the Undead don't die." Laraniss answered.

"I don't see anyone on a ridge, what are you talking about?" Said Roux.

"Another ability I have is that I can see energy being formed, within a ten mile radius, at a 360 degree angle, it makes it hard to sneak up on me with any kind of force." Laraniss said.

"You really do enjoy this, don't you?" Roux replied.

"Its my people's way, believe it or not, even if they are undead, I can see it in their eyes, they're enjoying the battle as well." Laraniss replied.

"I see, well I'm glad I'm not a part of your race." Roux chuckled.

"Well I need something to distract the Undead, while I deal with the two in the back and the armored fighter." Said Laraniss with a smile.

"Your kidding right!? Not to burst your bubble, but I can't take on an entire army by myself your majesty, I'm not a Raynian." Said Roux.

"I wasn't talking about you, and believe me, I'm aware that your not Raynian, your power is special, but you lack ability, and discipline. No, I've got something much more fun in mind, than utilizing your powers here." Replied Laraniss.

"Um, thanks I think? But I don't see anyone else around." replied Roux with distane.

"Not yet, you don't. Stand back." Roux jumped back and Laraniss cut his hand with the Dragon Blade, and lifted it above his head. Black flames began to form around the sword above Laraniss's head, and he thrusted it into the ground, which immediately began to shake and crack. "I summon, Dohvakiin, the Elder Dragon!" Laraniss yelled and black flames began to erupt from the crack in the ground and swirled around the Dragon Blade, which lifted itself into the air, and the flames began to form a shape, which grew and grew, until finally, they dissipated, and in their place was a giant black dragon, with golden eyes, and large grey wings, who let out a great ROAR!

"What the hell!? A Dragon!? Where did that come from?" Screamed Roux.

"Where did you think the Dragon Blade got it's name? It was created from the soul of the last remaining Dragon in the universe." Laraniss said.

"I just figured it was a cool name for a sword! I never thought that a Dragon was actually inside of it!" Roux Replied.

"It's good to see you Dohva, I'm sorry to summon you in this situation." Laraniss said to Dohvakiin.

The dragon turned his head to Laraniss. "Prince Laraniss, what do you need of me?" Spoke Dohvakiin.

"It freaking talks!?" Yelled a scared and confused Roux.

"I need you to hold off that army, while I handle the others. If you don't mind." Laraniss replied to Dohvakiin.

Dohvakiin turned to the battlefield. "A simple task, as you wish Prince!" Said Dohvakiin as he spread his wings and rose into the air.
